How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

It's that time of year again

I hope the summer is treating everybody well. It's all a huge stressful rush of one-thing-after-another at the moment here in Portland. I'm gearing up to head off to Comic-Con next week and am wondering which of you will be attending this year.

and I will be at the convention Friday. If you'll be attending, give a shout. We don't have a table or anything, but maybe we can wave at you as we walk the floor looking for work.

  I'm excited and overwhelmed at the same time, but so it goes.

I'll be posting some new work very very soon, as a bunch of Wizards books just came out.  I'm currently hard at work on a book cover section for my portfolio site.  The website will be getting a facelift along with the new work I'll be posting this summer.  Lots of new stuff in the pipe, so stay tuned.

Oh, and a big thanks to everyone who's been watching the gallery.  You are all very kind for faving as much as you do.  I'll try to thank you as I can, but it gets really busy sometimes and I know I miss people now and again.  Please know I definitely appreciate the favs and watch-list adds, even if I miss commenting you back.

You guys are the best!

Yeah, it sucks we're not gonna get to hang out this year. Who's gonna dance off the building tops like daffy duck while we're locked inside the convention center? I mean, Who, Pat, WHO?? I'm going to spite the red-shirts twice as much as normal to make up for you not being there.

Yeah, next year we'll have fun, no worries. Hope you get lots done at the homestead there and in the meantime, we're taking off in the car today for CA.

but to sit in front of the computer and just freeze to death. (not true at all!)

Aw, damn. Yeah we're just going to be down for Friday due to how tight the income has been lately. Saturday we'll be hanging with friends of ours in LA and doing touristy stuff. It's a shame we're going to miss you by that little of time. :-\ I really hope you make a lot of new contacts this year though. Hell, I hope we all make a lot of new contacts this year.
